I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa.
My research focuses on empirical asset pricing, macro-finance, and applied (time-series) econometrics, and has been published in The Review of Financial Studies and Management Science.
Beyond my primary academic appointment, I am also a Research Fellow at Rethinc. Labs at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, a Research Collaborator at the Mayo Clinic, and a member of the Macro Finance Society. I previously served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University between 2020 and 2023.
I completed my Ph.D. in Finance at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before moving to the United States I earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Monash University in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia. I also completed studies in economics and econometrics at the University of Melbourne.
Outside of research and teaching, I enjoy training for long-distance runs, playing squash, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I live in the Midwest with my wife Sarah, who is a maxillofacial prosthodontist at the Mayo Clinic, and our adopted lurcher (greyhound mix) Patrick.
